How do I share my delivery code with couriers?
During online checkout, enter your DOORDOCK delivery code in the delivery instructions or address line 2 (e.g., "Delivery Box Code: 11 22 33").
This ensures couriers have the necessary access code to securely deliver your packages.
What is the Quick Open feature and how does it work?
Quick Open allows couriers to deliver packages without entering a passcode when DOORDOCK is empty.
After you collect a package using your Admin code, the box resets for the next delivery.
This feature works only once - if a package is already inside, a valid delivery code will be required for additional deliveries.
Can I create different codes for different delivery services?
Yes! Using the DOORDOCK app, you can create unique codes for different services to track which service accessed your box. You can even create single-use or time-limited codes for added security, ensuring only authorized access.
What happens if a courier doesn't know how to use DOORDOCK?
DOORDOCK provides clear voice instructions and illuminated keypad prompts to guide first-time users through the delivery process.
The intuitive design ensures couriers can quickly understand how to securely deliver packages, even if they've never used DOORDOCK before.
How does the app connect to my DOORDOCK?
DOORDOCK connects to the "Smart Life" app via either Bluetooth or WiFi, depending on which model you purchase.
The Bluetooth version includes a Bluetooth Gateway that plugs into a standard outlet within 20 feet of your DOORDOCK.
The WiFi version connects directly to your home network. Both options ensure reliable connectivity and enable real-time notifications, remote access, and delivery code management.
Note: During initial setup, make sure your DOORDOCK is within range of your WIFI / Bluetooth hub to establish a strong connection.
